The Zimbabwe Media Commission (ZMC) has announced that the accreditation process for media professionals for 2025 will begin on January 6.
In an official statement, the commission reminded mass media service providers with expired registration certificates to renew them promptly to ensure they comply with industry regulations.
“The accreditation of media practitioners for the year 2025 will begin on January 6,” the ZMC confirmed.
The statement also included a reminder for media service providers whose registration certificates have expired to renew them without delay.
According to the commission, the accreditation fees will remain unchanged and will continue to be governed by Statutory Instrument 65 of 2022, which pertains to the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy (Registration, Accreditation, and Levy) Regulations, 2022 (No. 10).

This move is aimed at providing consistency and stability within the media sector, ensuring that both media practitioners and service providers continue to operate within a clear and regulated framework.
The commission urged all stakeholders to submit their accreditation requests in a timely manner to avoid last-minute issues, underscoring the need for compliance to uphold professional standards in the industry.
