Zvishavane Police Issue Urgent Appeal for Murder Suspect, Tawanda Chinyati (20)
Police in Zvishavane are urgently seeking information leading to the arrest of Tawanda Chinyati (20) in connection with a murder case that unfolded in Village 4, Chironde Area, Shurugwi on February 24, 2024.
The tragic incident occurred during a dispute over food sharing between the suspect and his cousin, Belmore Tiri (23). Allegedly, Chinyati used a Columbia knife, fatally stabbing Tiri amidst the heated argument. Despite immediate medical attention at Shurugwi District Hospital, Tiri succumbed to his injuries.
Efforts to locate Chinyati are underway, with local law enforcement urging the public to provide any information that may aid in his swift arrest.
