The University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available across various Sussex Schools.
These scholarships are awarded to international and EU students based on academic achievement and potential. Eligible students must have applied for and received an offer for a full-time Master’s degree at the University of Sussex.
Host Institution: University of Sussex, United Kingdom
Eligible Fields of Study: The scholarship is available for all full-time, taught Master’s programs offered by the University of Sussex, excluding the following:
- Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
- Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Courses at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS)
- Early Years in Education MA (with Early Years Teacher status)
- Degrees in Social Work (if the student is receiving an NHS bursary)
- Online programs
- Schools Direct teaching courses
- Master’s degrees funded by research councils (e.g., ESRC 1+3 funding)
Number of Scholarships Available: Up to 100
Target Audience: International and EU students
Scholarship Amount and Duration: £5,000

Eligibility Criteria: To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes
- Be enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree program starting in September 2025
- Be self-financed
- Demonstrate outstanding academic performance
How to Apply: To be considered for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship, applicants must first receive and accept an offer of admission for an eligible Master’s program at Sussex. Once the offer has been accepted, applicants can complete the separate online application form. The deadline for submission is April 30, 2025, at 23:59.
