The Lund University Global Scholarship Program is a prestigious, merit-based initiative designed to recognize exceptional academic students from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who are interested in applying for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs at Lund University.

Eligible Fields of Study: Master’s programs offered by the university, as well as select Bachelor’s programs such as Development Studies, Mathematics, Physics, and Physical Geography.

Value and Coverage: The scholarship may cover partial or full tuition fees. Please note that it only covers tuition costs and does not include living expenses.

Eligibility Requirements: To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of a non-EU/EEA country (and Switzerland), subject to tuition fees
- Apply for a Master’s degree program or, in rare cases, a Bachelor’s program in Development Studies, Mathematics, Physics, or Physical Geography at Lund University. The program for which the scholarship is requested must be the first choice in the application on universityadmissions.se.
Please do not apply if you do not meet the admission requirements for Lund University, if you have not listed a program at Lund University as your top choice at universityadmissions.se, or if you cannot prove you have the necessary funds to cover living expenses as per Swedish Migration Board requirements.
Application Process: The next scholarship application period will begin in February 2025.
To apply for a Lund University Global Scholarship, you must first submit your application for a program or free-standing course at Lund University through the national application portal, www.universityadmissions.se, during the application period (October 15, 2024 – January 15, 2025) for studies commencing in the autumn semester. Some programs may have a later application deadline starting December 1.
Once you have successfully submitted your degree program application and paid the application fee, you can proceed to apply for the scholarship via the scholarship application portal (available on the official website once the application period opens).
