Artistes abandon Seh Calaz Yalanation Studios

Artistes abandon Seh Calaz

ARTISTES signed under Yalanation Studios are abandoning ship due to several work disagreements, The Sunday Mail Society has established.

The studio was founded by Zimdancehall chanter Seh Calaz some four or so years back.
However, several artistes who have worked with the stable over the years have either moved to rival stables or are currently in the process of doing so.

The disgruntled artistes argue captain of the ship, Seh Calaz, “lacks focus and is not doing anything to promote their talents”.

Notable singers that have since switched camp include Van Choga, Hwinza, Horror and Tipsy.
Horror, born Tichaona Ganyau, said he has had enough working for crumbs.

“There is a serious lack of competence at Yalanation Studios. You cannot excel under it and that is why I have since left to try my luck with other studios,” alleged Horror.

He added that Seh Calaz or simply Boss Yala was in the habit of manipulating their talents for his personal gain.

“Seh Calaz used us as pawns. He would make sure we fight wars, through song, on his behalf. At one moment I cheated death after I was heavily assaulted for a diss song he had pushed me to record. It is only such material that his studio would promote,” revealed Horror.

Van Choga did not also have kind words for Yalanation.

“Our content is suppressed as Boss Yala only focuses on promoting his work. The working environment is also harsh,” said the “Pindikiti” hitmaker.

Van Choga, real name Valentine Simbarashe, said moving was the only way to salvage the little left of their suffering career.

“I think this is the right time to move and try new avenues,” he said.

However, Seh Calaz is unfazed.

The “Mumota Muri Kubvira” singer said it was not his duty to push artistes in his stable to stardom.
Talent and hard work, he said, was the trick to success.

“You cannot thrive in this industry if you are not talented. A combination of hard work and talent will take you far. It does not pay to always cry foul and bite the hand that feeds you,” said Seh Calaz.

“I’m not suffocating their careers. I have tried my best with them. Let’s see if they will prosper after leaving Yalanation. Probably they will soon be attacking the next person who is going to sign them.”
The talented Simbarashe “Hwinza” Magado disagrees.

“He is always after violence. He personally used me to attack Passion Java when they had a misunderstanding. The sad part is we get nothing from it,” added Hwinza.

Meanwhile, Seh Calaz said he is set to officially introduce new names that have joined Yalanation.
“There are many new and old artistes that are showing keen interest in joining us while others have already done so. We have the likes of Putin Prezident that are raring to go and we will soon be unleashing them,” he said.

Some of the artistes that have abandoned Yalanation have been linked to Cashlibs Records.
