Chibuku Road to Fame National Finals set to take place at Glamis Arena

One of the largest music talent competition, the 2024 Chibuku Road to Fame National Finals, is set to take place at Harare’s Glamis Arena, Showgrounds, on Saturday, November 9.

After launching on September 28, with provincial rounds held across the country, the event promises to draw a lively audience eager to celebrate emerging musical talent.

Chibuku Road to Fame is a popular platform that empowers upcoming musicians, offering them a chance to perform and gain recognition. The provincial competitions have sparked enthusiasm from both participants and audiences, with fans showing up in large numbers to create unforgettable musical moments.

A total of ten groups have qualified for the National Finals, representing genres like Afro-fusion, Sungura, Gospel, and Jazz from all over Zimbabwe. Among the finalists are The Cousins from Midlands, Shanty Town from Mashonaland Central, Outlaws from Harare, and Fugees Band from Matabeleland South.

The National Finals promise an exciting showdown as the groups compete for the grand prize. Starting at 10 a.m., the free-entry event invites all music fans to enjoy a vibrant lineup. Highlights include performances from popular Zimbabwean artists like Freeman, Feli Nandi, Chillspot Family, Master H, and the reigning champions, the 911 Band.

With final preparations underway, the 2024 Chibuku Road to Fame Finals are set to deliver a thrilling showcase of Zimbabwe’s musical talent. With a free and dynamic program, Glamis Arena will be the place to be on November 9, as Zimbabwe gathers to celebrate its rising music stars.

Former winners of the Chibukr Road to Fame, such as The Travellers Band, are now commanding space in the arts and entertainment industry. Recently, they were part of the main acts at the Jacaranda Music Festival. They are also a sought-after band at many private and corporate events. Their success and professionalism have shown that the CRTN competitions are stiff and very serious. The sponsors Delta Corporation and the adjudicators select the best from all the provinces, who then contend for the national finals.
