Christopher Sakubende Requests for Abundant Blessings in His New Track

The new track “Makomborero,” written by versatile song writer and guitarist Christopher Sakubende, is a supplication to God for blessings on his life and family.

On Tuesday, December 19, the song made its debut in the gospel music arena.

This powerful, poetic prayer for his family, especially his two children, is plainly sent to God by the pious 31-year-old pastor, who is married to wife Munashe.

“Along with other planned projects,” he stated, “I’m working on the music video for ‘Makomborero,’ which will be out in 2024. The song is inspired by my experiences as a dad and a bread winner. I have a lot of experience going out and getting meals on the table while trying to make ends meet and give my family with a respectable future.

“The song is a parent’s plea to God Almighty for blessings big enough to meet the needs of their children. Families gather a lot in the festive season, therefore I thought it would be appropriate for parents to accept this prayer and make it their song as their kids spend time with them before departing to their various locations.”

He began his music journey around as a young boy 19 years ago, singing at church gatherings. His talent inspired him to record his first album “Nhano Yekutanga”  in November 2016 which literally translates to first step

To date he has two albums to his name and a number of singles accompanied with detailed visuals and collaborations with the late great Diva Mafunga, Nyasha Mutonhori and Tocky vibes.

Christopher plays an acoustic guitar as his main instrument and leads a band called the Coffex band.  His main genre is Afro jazz music which include, praise and worship songs as well as social commentary and unique story telling.

His amazing acoustic solo performance at the renowned Itel rebranding and Itel p55 series launch at the Monomatapa Hotel on December 20th left the audience wanting more.

Responding to what he will be up to this festive season, he said, “I will be with my family in the village”
