As the 44th SADC Heads of State and Government Summit, the country’s creative sector is seizing the opportunity to showcase its talent. Visual artists, curators, and gallery owners are preparing to display their art collections to delegates from the 16-member bloc.
The National Gallery of Zimbabwe (NGZ) is hosting a premier visual arts exhibition titled “Innovate SADC Transformation and Unity in Southern Africa through the Arts.” The exhibition features powerful art collections, including some created over half a century ago, which tell a refreshing African story through creativity.
NGZ has partnered with the Tengenenge Arts Community in Guruve to showcase breathtakingly crafted collections. The exhibition celebrates the intersection of creativity, technology, and social change within SADC, bridging cultural divides and emphasizing shared experiences.
