DJ Ribhe, a prominent producer at Chillspot Records, faces serious allegations of raping a 14-year-old schoolgirl.
He has been in custody since the beginning of November and is likely to remain there for at least another month pending the finalization of investigations. Ribhe, whose real name is Tafadzwa Mandaza, appeared in court last week and was remanded to December 3 by regional magistrate Tilder Mazhande.
The allegations against Ribhe are grave. He is accused of drugging the minor before raping her. The victim lives in the same neighborhood as Ribhe.

According to the State, DJ Ribhe took the girl to Mashwede Village on October 17, manipulated her into consuming an unknown substance and smoking shisha, and later took her to his home, where she regained consciousness the next day and realized she had been raped.
DJ Ribhe’s family has secured a new lawyer for him, replacing Dumisani Mthombeni, who has represented other Chillspot Records artists, including DJ Fantan and DJ Levels, in past legal issues. DJ Ribhe has yet to file his bail application at the High Court.
