Emmanuel Jalai is a Zimbabwean international who made his senior team debut against Benin in South Africa during the World Cup qualifiers.
He also had an impressive performance against Nigeria in Uyo, where he solidified his position as the preferred right back ahead of Godknows Murwira.

Emmanuel Jalai was born on January 6, 1999, and recently turned 26. He plays as a right back for Dynamos, where he currently serves as the team captain.
Jalai stands at a height of 1.66m. He joined Aces Youth Academy in 2013 and attended Chemhanza High School, where he participated in the Copa Coca-Cola tournaments, making a name for himself.
Jalai briefly played for How Mine, but the team was sold to Harare City, prompting his return to Aces Youth Academy.
Lloyd Mablanyo took notice of Jalai during his participation in the Under-20 tournament at Cosafa and invited him for trials at Dynamos. In 2023, Jalai was appointed vice-captain by Herbert Maruwa.

In March 2024, coach Norman Mapeza selected Jalai to represent Zimbabwe at the Four Nations Tournament in Malawi.
On March 20, 2025, Jalai made his senior team debut against Benin in a World Cup qualifier in South Africa. Initially, many Zimbabweans had little faith in him, as he was playing for a team struggling in the domestic league.

After an impressive match, Jalai earned the love and trust of Zimbabweans, with even Coach Michael Nees agreeing with his decision to give Jalai a place in the starting eleven.
Days later, Jalai stood his ground in Uyo, where they faced a star-studded Nigeria. Jalai’s confidence amazed the nation, as he impressed while defending against Nigeria’s Simon.
