First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa is said to have ordered that notorious businessman Wicknell Chivayo be prohibited from accessing State House, President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s official house, in a surprising development that has shocked Zimbabwe’s political landscape.
The action was taken in response to an alleged audio recording that leaked, on which Chivhayo is heard bragging that the President is completely under his control.

“The President is in my pockets, I can do anything I want,” Chivayo is claimed to have stated in the recording, which has not been independently verified by this publication.
The First Lady’s decision to exclude Chivayo from the State House reflects the apparent rift between the businessman and the presidential family.
According to The Standard newspaper, Chivayo, known for his lavish lifestyle and close ties to the ruling ZANU-PF party, has long been a subject of public scrutiny and allegations of corruption.

When reached for comment, the Office of the President and Cabinet declined to provide an official statement, stating that they do not engage in “rumor-mongering or unsubstantiated claims.”
However, sources within the government, speaking on condition of anonymity, have confirmed that tension has been brewing between the first lady and Chivayo, with the former reportedly expressing concerns over the businessman’s influence and the perception of impropriety.
