Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), is embroiled in a significant scandal after authorities reportedly uncovered hundreds of explicit videos allegedly involving him in compromising situations.
The videos are said to feature encounters with several high-profile individuals, including his sister-in-law, a cousin, and even the President of Equatorial Guinea’s sister.
This scandal surfaced amid a fraud investigation in which over 300 videos were reportedly found on Ebang Engonga’s computer. The footage, discovered in his personal office, allegedly shows him with multiple women, some of whom are married. It is reported that these encounters were recorded with consent, and the content has since been leaked online, sparking public outrage.

In response, Equatorial Guinea’s Vice President, Teodoro Nguema, issued a public statement on X (formerly Twitter), condemning inappropriate behavior within government offices. He emphasized that s*xual activities are strictly prohibited in administrative workplaces and cautioned that violations would face strict consequences.
“Considering the recent misuse of social media in Equatorial Guinea and reaffirming that government offices are exclusively for administrative work in service of the country’s development, s*xual activities in these settings are strictly forbidden,” Nguema stated. “Control measures are already in place, and any future violations will lead to disciplinary action for inappropriate conduct, including dismissal from employment.”
