For many, just having lunch or even passing through Sandton is an achievement in itself yet this young chap will be throwing a party.

Sandton’s most glamorous frequent The Sands

The venue; The Sands is yet another huge marvel, a place whose name qualifies on the top 10 of best clubs in Sandton.

Just the ambience in the images online will make one green with envy.

Masvinge told Showbiz this week the party would be hosted by vivacious lass Evey Mwatse and top film personality Leeroy Gopal.

Having been in South Africa for just less than two years, Masvinge said he has had a great experience in the more spacious and vibrant SA film scene and added that the party was his way of affirming his position in the Zimbabwean community in South Africa.

“I have been in SA for a year and a half now but it has been a great journey being here. South Africa is a big film capital and I am still learning something new every day,” he said.

The Sands is known for its luxurious setting

“I think it affirms my position in our Zim community first as I have always been passionate about bringing people together. This is one of the initiatives I have always wanted to start and I think this is the perfect time.”

Currently in Cape Town where he is shooting a TV commercial for laptops and gadgets manufacturer HP America, Masvinge said he would soon after the birthday celebrations take off to Kenya where he would be working on another project.

The Sands is popular with dance and party lovers

“I have a project I am excited about which I’m shooting in Kenya, then later on in November we are shooting a feature film with Hollywood director, Mark Kohl and producer Sylvia Chimhina. It’s a busy year,” he said.

“What is interesting about the party is how diverse the guest list is; from top artistes, business people, varsity students, we also have people flying in from Zimbabwe, the UK and Canada. Of note is my longtime friend Harare socialite /fashion entrepreneur Nomathemba Primrose Ndebele.”

Ammara Brown, herself a huge draw card, will be performing alongside ex-boyfriend Roki, Stunner, Nox, and T Mula.
