Mathius Mhere’s Error
Singer Mathius Mhere has an error and it is one he penned for his new album scheduled for release next year.
The singer performed the new track Error at Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe Harare East province’s end of year conference in Waterfalls at the weekend.
The track that had the audience spellbound appears to be an exhibition of a new and mature artiste altogether.
While the track is one that will have any Pentecostal Christian rethinking their fortunes; the sound an arrangement betray a new level of maturity in the artiste.
Based on Ecclesiates 10 vs 7 the track talks about the continued suffering of believers while the majority of unbelievers continue to thrive as if giving credence to their lack of belief.
“Pakaitika error pasi pezuva, (There is an error under the sun)
Madzimambo arikufamba netsoka. (Kings are walking on foot)
Varanda vari pamabhiza. (Servants are riding on horses)
Varikutaura nendimi ndivo varikutamba nhamo. (Those that speak in tongues are so poor)
Vasingamuzive Mwari ndivo varikuita mari. (Unbelievers are making money)
Ndiyo inonzi error pasi pezuva. (That is an error under the sun)
Zvanga zvirinani chikero chienzane. (It was better if the scale was balanced)
Chemari nechemweya chienzane (The scale for money and spiritual matters have to be balanced).
Running under the theme Arise and Act, the conference was graced by South Africa based Kenyan speaker, counsellor and preacher Elias Ndeda, Reverend Matunhira from Mbare Central Evangelist Nelly Gwatidzo from Waterfalls’ Manna Worship Centre and Reverend Nyadzo from AFM Manyame Airbase among others.
Mhere was the star performer among other acts that included Solo Katsande, Jonathan Beta, Raymond Chakanyuka, Msasa Park Choir, Domboramwari Choir and Gospel Fire Choir.
