Full-time undergraduate or graduate study at specific Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutes are supported by these scholarships.

Any participating university in Australia is eligible to provide the scholarships.
Study Areas and Levels
Undergraduate and graduate studies that are in line with the development priorities of the applicant’s native country—as specified in the corresponding country profiles—are among the eligible programs. However, this scholarship does not cover courses in nuclear physics, aircraft piloting, or military training.

Qualifications for Eligibility
Applicants must fulfil the following requirements in order to be eligible for the Australia Awards Scholarship:
Be 18 years of age or older on February 1st of the scholarship year.
Be a citizen of one of the participating nations, live there, and submit an application from their home nation.
Not be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand, or be pursuing permanent residency in Australia.
At no point during the application or award process may you be married to, engaged to, or in a de facto relationship with a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand (certain New Zealand nationals are exempt).
Not be employed by the military at the moment.
Must have resided outside of Australia for twice the length of their previous award period in order to be eligible to receive a long-term Australia Award.
Possess no previous convictions, especially those pertaining to sexual exploitation or child protection.
fulfil any extra requirements, including specialised job experience, imposed by the Program Area or the government of their home country.
Meet the prerequisites for admission to the suggested Australian institution.
Fulfil every prerequisite for a student visa as forth by the Department of Home Affairs.
Make sure they aren’t applying for a degree that is less than what they now possess (for example, applying for a master’s degree when already possessing a PhD).
