Susan Mutami Slams Temba Mliswa’s ZIFA Presidential Candidacy Over Fatherhood Neglect

In a scathing Twitter post, Susan Mutami has cast doubt on Temba Mliswa’s suitability for the position of ZIFA President, accusing him of neglecting his responsibilities as a father. Mutami, who claims to have a son with the aspiring ZIFA president, criticized Mliswa for allegedly failing to contribute financially to their child’s upkeep.

Mutami’s tweet, directed at the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), read: “Dear @online_zifa, I have a son with aspiring ZIFA President Temba Mliswa. I just wanted to notify you that he holds no decorum to hold such a prestigious position and is an irresponsible father. To date, he has never contributed a single cent towards Tino’s upkeep.”

She further claimed that while Mliswa spends money on promotional items like T-shirts and lunches for ZIFA officials, their 3-year-old son, Tinotenda, is living in Australia “at the mercy of the Australian government.”

Mutami continued her condemnation, accusing Mliswa of abandoning his parental duties and showing a lack of respect for women. “He only looks after certain kids to suit a certain narrative,” she wrote, suggesting that his actions put female soccer players and ZIFA staff at risk of exploitation.

The tweet also raised concerns about Mliswa’s relationships with foreign stakeholders, particularly the Australian Government, which has been involved in funding projects for African football development. “How do you expect our Mama Cash at the embassy… to have a productive meeting with Temba Mliswa?” Mutami questioned, warning against appointing him to such a significant role.

Her remarks add further drama to the ongoing discussion about leadership within ZIFA and have sparked a debate about the suitability of various candidates for the organization’s top position.
