Given this large fan base, it’s no surprise that the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has some of the finest coaching talent, with high salaries to match. The league’s top teams, supported by loyal fans, are willing to pay big to secure the best coaches.
A major change recently saw Nasreddine Nabi, formerly with AS FAR Rabat, join Kaizer Chiefs, becoming the highest-paid coach in the PSL, surpassing Mamelodi Sundowns’ Rulani Mokwena.
Here’s a rundown of the top 10 highest-paid PSL coaches for 2024:

The Tunisian manager, former player, and Kaizer Chiefs head coach is now the highest-paid coach in the PSL. - Manqoba Mngqithi (Mamelodi Sundowns) – Over R700,000 per month
Serving as the senior coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, Mngqithi plays a pivotal role in the team’s success. - Rhulani Mokwena (Wydad AC) – Over R700,000 per month
Now the manager of Wydad AC, Mokwena previously led Mamelodi Sundowns. - Steve Komphela (Mamelodi Sundowns) – Over R700,000 per month
Komphela, a former player and coach, is now part of Sundowns’ senior technical team. - José Riveiro (Orlando Pirates) – Around R700,000 per month
