Chivi District, Zimbabwe— Charles Zivanayi (37), a member of ZANU-PF’s rural youth campaign team, had his car stolen and vandalised in the early hours of January 29 at Mhandamabwe Shopping Centre.
A prior political dispute is believed to have led to the incident, which occurred around 5:00 AM.
According to reports, the primary suspects in the case are Pride Matute from Hapazari Village and Godknows Manyumbu from Manyumbu Village.
It is alleged that they had a political disagreement with Zivanayi a month before the incident, leading to rising tensions between the parties involved.
Law enforcement authorities have since arrested one of the suspects, who is currently in custody at Mashava Police Station as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, the second suspect, Godknows Manyumbu, remains at large.

Zivanayi, also known as Madzibaba Sydney, has expressed concerns for his safety, stating that he continues to receive threats following the incident. He has urged authorities to act swiftly to uphold justice.
