Zimbabwean football is set for a significant digital overhaul and a renewed focus on grassroots development following the signing of key agreements between ZIFA and local firms in Harare.
ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi sees the partnerships with Kyros Sports and PD House as crucial steps in revitalising the sport in the digital age.
The collaboration with Kyros Sports aims to strengthen school football development, leveraging their expertise in talent identification across multiple disciplines.
Meanwhile, PD House, a leading web solutions provider, will upgrade ZIFA’s online platforms to global standards, enhancing accessibility and unlocking new revenue streams.
Magwizi emphasised the importance of creating sustainable financial models.

“Building a thriving football ecosystem isn’t just about funding; it’s about establishing structures that generate revenue for long-term growth,” he said.
He highlighted that these partnerships will financially benefit ZIFA without direct costs to the association.
Kyros Sports director Nyasha Muchochomi noted that the company will apply modern talent development techniques, having previously worked with the Zimbabwe Rugby Union and national athletics programs.
“Our strength lies in creating systems that nurture talent. Through this partnership, we aim to promote Zimbabwean football on a global stage,” he stated.
ZIFA board member Tafadzwa Benza expressed optimism about incorporating digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, into national team strategies.
“Kyros Sports will help schools implement structured training programs, ensuring a clear development path for young players,” he said.
PD House Business Development Manager Martin Mukaro outlined their role in modernising ZIFA’s digital presence.
“We specialise in enterprise resource planning and technology solutions, from websites to mobile apps.
Our goal is to expand ZIFA’s reach through e-commerce, digital ticket sales, and global engagement,” Mukaro explained.
With these partnerships, ZIFA aims to position itself at the forefront of football development in Zimbabwe, embracing technology to enhance both administration and player development.
