The Zimbabwe Miners Federation (ZMF) has encouraged small-scale miners to attend the 2025 Investing in African Mining Indaba, a key event that offers opportunities for connecting with investors and learning about the latest developments in the global mining industry.
The indaba will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from February 3 to 6, with the theme “Transforming African Mining for the Future.”
ZMF CEO, Wellington Takavarasha, emphasized the importance of the event for small-scale miners, noting it as a great opportunity for networking and investment.
The ZMF represents over 1.5 million small-scale miners in Zimbabwe, contributing about 60% of the country’s annual gold deliveries to Fidelity Gold Refinery.

The Indaba aims to open doors for business linkages and investment opportunities.
Zimbabwe’s mining sector, rich in gold, platinum, diamonds, lithium, and other minerals, is crucial to the country’s economy. Small-scale miners primarily operate in gold, chrome, and semi-precious stones. The sector plays a significant role in exports, government revenues, and national income.
