Some relationship reveals were shockers, while some were really a long time coming. Here are our 5 best celebrity couples of 2022.
1. AKA and Nadia Nakai
We really saw this coming, although these two tried to flinch and duck, as the allegations of their supposed relationship brew. Back in January, a local publication picked up how AKA and Nadia Nakai were posting pictures with the same background, although they never shared snaps together.
In March, they came out publicly, posting a video as they kissed and smooched in a club. Later that month, AKA invited Nadia on stage and the two held hands and kissed passionately.
What makes the relationship more interesting is that Nadia was once signed to Cassper Nyovest’s Family Tree, and he is AKA’s sworn enemy.
2. Master KG and Makhadzi
The two Limpopo superstars initially dated then split in 2020 to focus on their fledging careers. Makhadzi and Master KG failed to resist the attraction between them and they got back together in February 2022, with Makhadzi making the news public on her Instagram.
“Besides being my soulmate ❤️you are one of the most humble artist I have ever met,” Makhadzi gushed.
3. Focalistic and DBN Gogo
In February, DBN Gogo shared a Twitter thread leading up to Valentine’s Day showing off her the teddy bear, sweet treats, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and other gifts she received from rapper Focalistic.
“The perfect end,” she wrote in a video showing she was in a hotel room filled with rose petals while Focalistic poured a glass of bubbles.
In March, DBN Gogo shared pictures of her with Focalistic and we could not get enough of it.
4. DJ Zinhle and DJ Murder
The too hugely talented deejays have been in a relationship since June 2020 and they already have a child, Asante, born in September 2021. Zinhle is not one to shy away from posting her man, by the way.
“I am girlfriend of the year. Listen. I am the best girlfriend, ask any of my boyfriends they know. Shame. When it comes to girlfriend-ing. I am the best girlfriend anyone could ever have like I am understanding,” she once said.
5. Natasha Thahane and Thembinkosi Lorch
Orlando Pirates football player Thembinkosi Lorch sent the socials into overdrive in June 2021 with his Instagram post of Natasha Thahane. In March, Natasha revealed that she is pregnant, although she did not reveal who the baby daddy is. But, like, who else could it be?
