Braveman Chizvino, popularly known as Baba Harare, recently opened up about his new wife and his decision to do transition from Jiti to gospel music.

This comes after anonymous  were cited in a daily tabloid H-Metro report as saying that the Jiti artist’s decision to become a gospel musician was influenced by his new wife.

Baba Harare denied rumors that he had recently tied the knot, saying that he and his spouse had been together for a while but had decided to keep their relationship quiet.

“It is untrue that I recently got married, as some have claimed. She and I had been married for a while, but I didn’t want her to be in the spotlight. When her photos were released, social media went into overdrive, resulting in the emergence of numerous variants, he said.

The 35-year-old multi-instrumentalist further denied that his decision to pursue gospel music instead of Jiti was influenced by his wife.

We went to Australia early this year with my band, and I did a sold-out gig there. Fans loved my music, but I felt a divine voice telling me to give up secular music and devote my life to serving Him. I do not regret this relocation, even though I know I will miss traveling and other things. “It’s the best decision I’ve ever made in my life,” said Baba Harare.

Baba Harare is scheduled to release his first gospel CD, “Repentance,” at the 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale, Harare, on Sunday. The record launch is anticipated to be attended by well-known gospel performers, including Sabastian Magacha, Jonas Chivasa, Tatenda Mahachi, Takesure Zamar, and Minister Michael Mahendere.
