Can Beenie Man Redeem Himself?

Jamaican reggae-dancehall musician Beenie Man

AFTER failing to satisfy the hard-to-please Zimbabwean music lovers, Jamaican superstar, Beenie Man, has been given another opportunity to prove that he is indeed the king of the dancehall.

Beenie Man was outshined by locals, Winky D and Soul Jah Love at last weekend’s Alex Sports Club gig.

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority boss, Karikoga Kaseke, confirmed Beenie Man’s performance during the 3-2-6 express show hosted by Phathisani and KVG on Star FM yesterday.

“The Dancehall star will be among the artists to headline the Harare International Carnival’s free music concert set for September 9. A number of people have been arguing that Beenie Man did not do well during his show over the weekend, therefore, he will again have a chance to defend his title.

“I can confirm that he is still in the country and he is going to perform at this year’s Harare International Carnival, which is running under the theme, One Love, Our Unity, Our Pride,” said Kaseke.
