House of the Dragon Season 2 Now Premiering

The dragon fire is blazing brighter than ever now that the wait is ended. New episodes of the House of the Dragon second season will premiere on Showmax and M-Net every Monday at three in the morning, straight from the United States.

House of the Dragon, which is 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood and chronicles the turbulent voyage of House Targaryen.

The new season continues where the previous one ended, with Alicent and Rhaenyra, two former friends who are now sworn enemies getting into a violent fight over King Aegon II’s coronation.

The two sides are preparing for combat as the stage is set for a titanic civil war.

Alongside Olivia Cooke’s multi-award-winning depiction of Alicent and Emma D’Arcy’s Golden Globe nominated performance as Rhaenyra, Matt Smith returns to his magnetic role as the Critics Choice nominated Daemon.

The first season of the Emmy-winning show was widely praised, garnering a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a Best TV Series – Drama award at the 2023 Golden Globes.

The Seattle Times has praised the second season of Game of Thrones, stating that it is “smart, thrilling, and heartbreaking storytelling” and could surpass the first season.
