Liquid Intelligent Technologies has formed a strategic partnership with Globalstar, a US-based satellite communications company, to deliver cutting-edge 5G connectivity solutions across Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf region. This collaboration grants Liquid exclusive rights to sell and distribute Globalstar’s XCOM RAN private networks 5G access solution in these regions.

XCOM RAN is a revolutionary technology that offers high-capacity and flexibility, making it ideal for private wireless networks. It provides four times more capacity and superior performance compared to other systems, enhancing the 5G experience and supporting AI-driven applications.

This partnership aims to transform the mining industry in Africa and cater to high-end markets in the Middle East and Gulf regions. Liquid will provide comprehensive customer support for Globalstar’s products and services, including technical support and warranty services.

The partnership also explores potential expansion into Globalstar’s satellite, Band n53 spectrum, and IoT solutions. Band n53 is a rare midband spectrum that offers a versatile, fully licensed channel to improve wireless connectivity across multiple geographies.

According to Strive Masiyiwa, Founder and Chairman of Liquid Intelligent Technologies, this partnership will enable the company to provide internet services to large businesses like mines, leveraging breakthroughs in 5G private network technologies.

Globalstar CEO Dr. Paul Jacobs emphasized that the 5G XCOM RAN product is a game-changer for mission-critical high-performance wireless applications. He expressed excitement about the partnership, which will accelerate advanced wireless technology deployments in Africa, the Middle East, and Gulf regions.

Cassava Technologies President and Group CEO Hardy Pemhiwa welcomed the exclusive partnership, highlighting its potential to provide unparalleled connectivity to customers in these sectors. He emphasized that Globalstar’s unique 5G enterprise solution aligns with Cassava’s ambition to become a leading technology company of African heritage, empowering businesses and communities with reliable and high-speed internet access.

This partnership underscores Liquid’s commitment to collaborating with global organizations that share its vision of fostering progress and innovation through connectivity for businesses and individuals across Africa and beyond
