Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has addressed Marcus Rashford’s recent comments, in which the player hinted at feeling unwanted at the club and suggested he may seek a new challenge.
Rashford, who was absent from the squad for Sunday’s Manchester derby win over Manchester City, had clarified that his omission wasn’t related to injury or discipline.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final against Tottenham, Amorim responded to Rashford’s remarks, acknowledging the striker’s desire for a new challenge. However, Amorim believes Rashford can find that challenge at United.
He stated, “I think it’s right to talk about challenges. We’re facing a tough one here, and I consider it the biggest challenge in football. We are at one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I believe this is the right place for players to push themselves.”

Amorim also emphasized the importance of focusing on the present rather than speculating about the future, expressing his desire to bring out the best in Rashford and the entire team. “I want to help Marcus reach his best form, and we’re working on finding ways to get him back to the levels he’s shown in the past.
Ultimately, we’re better with him, and that’s what matters most.”
Amorim concluded by affirming that Rashford remains a part of the team and is expected to contribute in upcoming matches.
