Today, the late Zimbabwean music icon Soul Jah Love’s monument was unveiled at Warren Hills Cemetery in a moving event. Families, friends, and fans came to celebrate and remember the artist’s lasting impact at this momentous occasion.
The tombstone which was painstakingly created and crafted to honor Soul Jah Love, was a gift from the prestigious local company Ngoda Granites.
Soul Muzavazi Musaka, better known as Soul Jah Love, was a prominent character in the arts circles. With his distinctive voice and potent lyrics, he became a forerunner in the Zimdancehall genre, enthralling listeners.
He gained a devoted following across the nation thanks to his songs, which frequently addressed the hardships and victories of ordinary life and struck a deep chord with the young people and the general public. Soul Jah Love has received multiple awards during his career, establishing his position as one of Zimbabwe’s most important musicians.
His compositions, including “Pamamonya Ipapo,” “Ndini Uya Uya,” and “Dai Hupenyu Hwaitengwa,” became anthems, expressing life’s lived realities and providing comfort during difficult times.
