Tsungai Tsikirai Launches New Album African Queen Tonight

Zimbabwean musician who is UK based and a cultural advocate Tsungai Tsikirai is set to release her second album, African Queen, at a special event tonight, Saturday, January 4th, starting at 6 PM at the Jasen Mphepo LittleTheater. The launch promises to be a lively celebration of African music and culture.

Tsungai’s first album, Rova Ngoma, was widely praised for its inspiring songs about the strength and resilience of African women. Her new album, African Queen, continues this journey by mixing traditional African sounds with modern music styles, showing her growth as an artist and her love for African culture.

The event will feature a live performance by Tsungai, supported by the famous Zimbabwean dance group Iyasa. Known for their energetic and colorful performances, Iyasa will add an exciting vibe to the evening, bringing the themes of the album to life.

There will also be an exhibition at the event, showcasing Tsungai’s work as an artist and her efforts to promote African culture and empower women. Fans will get a chance to learn more about the stories and traditions that inspire her music.

Speaking about her new album, Tsungai said, “African Queen is about celebrating our roots, our stories, and the strength of African women. I’m excited to share this music and bring people together to celebrate.”
