Victoria Falls Stock Exchange-listed WestProp Holdings Limited initiated the development of the Hills Luxury Golf Estate, marking a significant stride in its urban renewal endeavors with a US$300 million investment.
The concept includes building a world-class golf course as well as townhouses, villas, flats, a country club, a hotel, a tennis and swimming academy and a shopping centre.
The estate, once known as Warren Hills Golf Club, is slated to change into a combined live, work, shop and play luxury lifestyle enclave, according to WestProp CEO Ken Sharpe. It is modelled after an 18-hole golf course from the PGA Tour.
“This project is in line with the second republic’s urban renewal programme. “With an estimated value of more than $300 million, we have the potential to greatly improve the landscape,” Sharpe declared.
Aiming for one billion bricks by 2050, Sharpe highlighted the project’s contribution to brick production ambitions while highlighting the larger vision. It is anticipated that the Hills Golf Estate alone will need 70 million bricks, which is a significant step towards their lofty objective.
Sharpe highlighted the project’s transformative potential for Harare and Zimbabwe overall, characterising it as a legacy endeavour.

Prominent architects Joan Balagué Capdet and Peter Matkovich, who is well-known for designing golf courses, are major partners in the project. The layout and architectural design of the estate are largely due to Capdet’s experience, while Matkovich will supervise the construction of an 18-hole championship golf course.
Sharpe recognised the importance of Capdet’s contribution, noting his crucial role in developing the town plan and concept plan and establishing a smart city vision.
When considering Matkovich’s contribution, Sharpe highlighted his relationship to Zimbabwe personally and his desire to use his art to leave a lasting legacy.
In addition to the Hills Luxury Golf Estate, WestProp has a strong track record of innovative urban development, as seen by its continued work on projects including Millennium Heights, Pokugara Residential Estate, Pomona City, The Mall of Zimbabwe, and Millennium Heights Office Park.
