The Palestinian Ministry of Health says medical services are nearing total collapse as Israel’s continued blockade restricts the entry of essential medicines, fuel, and medical supplies. Doctors and nurses are struggling to provide even basic care, while nearly 1.9 million people remain without adequate shelter due to widespread destruction caused by the ongoing war.
Despite a ceasefire that came into effect on October 11, Israeli warplanes have continued airstrikes on central and southern Gaza. These attacks have led to rising casualties, further undermining humanitarian efforts and violating the ceasefire agreement.
Since October 7, 2023, the death toll from Israeli military operations has reached 71,550 Palestinians, with 171,365 wounded. Following the ceasefire, an additional 465 people have been killed and 1,287 injured, while 713 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble.
Ambassador Tamer Almassri has condemned the continued blockade, airstrikes, and mass displacement, stating that these actions constitute grave violations of international law and human rights. He urged the international community to take immediate action, lift the blockade, and ensure the urgent delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to prevent further loss of life.

Party insiders claim Kandishaya’s persistent defense and promotion of Tagwirei within ZANU PF structures has coincided with alleged material benefits, including the acquisition of a luxury vehicle and extensive renovations to his rural home—both reportedly financed by the controversial tycoon.
Concerns have been raised internally over Kandishaya’s aggressive elevation of Tagwirei’s political standing, particularly as the businessman has recently been co-opted into the party’s Central Committee and has assumed a visible role at party gatherings. Kandishaya has repeatedly justified Tagwirei’s prominent participation at “feedback rallies” held across Harare province, brushing aside criticism by arguing that all Central Committee members hold equal status.
