Man finds himself in a hospital bed, fighting for survival, all because he dared to propose to a woman in the presence of her husband.
The events unfolded at the Lupane long-distance bus terminus where Siminyeni Ndlovu, accompanied by her husband Sibangani Siziba, their son Ethan Siziba, and mother-in-law Maria Dube, sought respite under the shade of a tree. It was there that Ncube, in a bold move, approached Ms. Ndlovu to engage in conversation.

However, Ncube’s gesture of interest did not sit well with Siziba. Seething with anger, he armed himself with a menacing okapi knife and pursued Ncube, who had driven and parked his vehicle some distance away.
Siziba’s actions escalated swiftly into violence. Without hesitation, he launched a frenzied assault on Ncube, raining down stabs upon him, targeting his head and body indiscriminately.
In a desperate bid for survival, Ncube fought back, sinking his teeth into Siziba’s flesh in a frantic struggle.
Despite Ncube’s valiant efforts, Siziba’s relentless attack persisted. In a cruel twist, Ncube’s attempt to flee was met with a blow from a stone wielded by Siziba, sending him crashing to the ground.
The altercation was finally quelled by the intervention of Siziba’s son, who managed to restrain his father. Law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene, apprehending Siziba and initiating legal proceedings against him.
Ncube’s injuries were grave, necessitating urgent medical attention. Rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital initially, he was later transferred to Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo, where he remains hospitalized, battling for recovery.
As the wheels of justice turn, Siziba finds himself facing charges of attempted murder, with his fate now in the hands of the court. Amidst the turmoil, one man fights for his life, while another confronts the consequences of his violent actions.
