Zim dancehall musician Silent Killer – real name Ngonidzashe Zvineyi – caused alarm among both fans and event organizers alike when he missed his flight to England for SAMA Festival, where he had both secured visa and flight ticket.
Silent Killer had planned to perform at this popular showcase of Zimbabwean talent abroad.
Fred Matenga of Y2K Promotions claims the incident began after Silent Killer experienced an extremely disquieting nightmare about their flight exploding, leading him to lock himself away in an airport toilet rather than board it.
This dream left such an impression that Silent Killer eventually decided not to board his scheduled flight at all!
“After his dream,” Matenga explained, he locked himself inside an airport toilet for five hours after having panicked during it.
While all ready to depart the airport, something scared him so much he found himself locked within instead – “something which only seemed real at that moment,” according to him.
Silent Killer fans have expressed shock and dismay after his unexpected no-show, with many taking to social media platforms such as Twitter to vent.
Festival organizers are currently scrambling to alter the lineup accordingly; with some questioning what could have caused such an intense response.

Silent Killer has left fans and organisers alike scratching their heads as to the source of his decision, yet some speculate his troubling dream may have had something to do with stress or personal struggles the artist was going through recently.
No matter why he left us all without notice; his absence has left fans devastated while organizers scrambling desperately trying to fill his spot as quickly as possible.
SAMA Festival, known for celebrating Zimbabwean culture and music, will continue as planned, but many will wonder what might have been had Silent Killer made his highly anticipated performance.
