Starlink has officially activated its satellite signal in Zimbabwe, allowing residents to purchase internet services directly from the company.
According to the official Starlink website, the initiative aims to enhance internet access in the country.
Consumers can now buy the hardware necessary for the service, with the cheapest package priced at US$223, which includes shipping.
The monthly internet service costs US$30, making it a viable option for many Zimbabweans seeking reliable connectivity.

For those looking for more extensive services, a top-end unlimited package is available for US$373, also inclusive of delivery, with a monthly fee of US$50.
In a notable convenience, customers can also make purchases using Apple Pay, streamlining the buying process for tech-savvy users.

Previously, Wicknell Chivayo’s company, IMC, held an exclusive dealership license for Starlink in Zimbabwe.
However, it remains unclear if Starlink has dropped this arrangement, as it is now selling directly to consumers through its own platform.
The introduction of Starlink services is expected to significantly impact internet accessibility in Zimbabwe, where reliable connectivity has been a longstanding challenge.
