Three dance groups stood out and ultimately won the day’s top honors at the Chibuku Neshamwari Dance Competition: the Culture Warriors with their Dinhe dance from Mufakose, the Shingai Dance Troupe with their Mbakumba dance also from Mufakose, and the Villa Kutinyu Angoni Nyau Club with their Achewa Gure dance from Dzivarasekwa.
Padziva Camp and Caravan Park was the place to be in Dzivarasekwa Extension on Saturday, where many people gathered for the 2024 Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival Harare Provincial Finals. The air was thick with anticipation, vibrant energy, and the rhythmic beats of drums, echoing Zimbabwe’s rich cultural legacy.
When the Culture Warriors took to the stage, their colorful costumes and intricate animal tail skirts gleamed in the sunlight. Each step of the Dinhe dance, which they incorporated with modern steps from genres such as hip-hop and Amapiano dance moves, attracted the attention of the judges.

The audience was captivated by their graceful yet powerful movements, which told stories of family history and tradition passed down through generations.
