Semester Marriage Goes Wrong : ‘Webster Mubati’ Wanted for Stabbing Live-in Girlfriend

In a shocking case of domestic violence, Audrey Nyasha Rwambiwa, a 25-year-old student at the Women’s University in Africa, is in critical condition at Parirenyatwa Hospital following a stabbing by her boyfriend, Webster Mubata.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday after Audrey returned home from a party around 3 a.m.

Audrey and Webster, who lived together in an apartment in the Avenues area of Harare, were involved in a violent altercation where Webster allegedly attacked her with a kitchen knife, causing multiple injuries.

In a courageous effort to escape, Audrey locked herself in a bathroom and broke a toilet window to call for help.

Webster fled the scene, and local police are appealing for information to locate him. This alarming incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing issue of domestic violence in our communities.
