Kadoma based music promoter Cosmas Daka aka Cossy Rules has blasted local musicians for engaging shallow managers whose potential reduces their own reach.
Cossy Rules was speaking at the Jam Session at City Sports Bar Monday evening where he challenged progressive musicians to engage managers with the requisite experience and exposure to take their careers forward.
“Musicians work so hard and in some instances they are the problem because they engage poor managers that have no potential to take their careers further. One should not engage a poor manager. I called a certain musician and they told me I should talk to their manager and I laughed and told him that I was a director who managed over 300 people,” he said.
Cossy Rules thanked Devine Assignments for the Jam Session project and went on to pledge recording and production support for a single group that would have been selected by fans.
He also gave Devine Assignments $200 for logistics in running the project.
