Scottland secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Black Rhinos yesterday at Rufaro Stadium, taking a significant step towards their maiden promotion to the Premier Soccer League (PSL). The win propelled Scotland up the log standings, fueling their ambition to join Zimbabwe’s top-flight football league.

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lincolin Zvasiya was instrumental in Scottland’s triumph, marshaling the defense  ensuring Black Rhinos’ attacks were repelled.

His solidity at the back inspired confidence in the Scottland team, allowing them to dominate possession and create scoring opportunities.

The win was a testament to Scotland’s determination and resilience, as they aim to make history by becoming the first team from their region to reach the PSL after playing one season in the Division One football.

With this victory, they have moved closer to realizing their dream, and their fans are eagerly anticipating the possibility of top-flight football next season.

The defeat was a setback for Black Rhinos, who struggled to breach Scottland’s stout defense. Despite their efforts, they were unable to find the back of the net, with Scotland’s goalkeeper producing several crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet.

Honorable Pedzayi ”Scott” Sakupwanya who is the member of Parliament for Mabvuku Tafara constituency  was also in attendance to witness his team convincing victory against the log leaders.

As the season enters its final stretch, Scottland’s promotion bid will be keenly watched by football enthusiasts across Zimbabwe. With their sights set on the PSL, they will face stiff competition from other aspirants, but their recent form suggests they have the mettle to achieve their goal.

Scotland now stands at number four three points behind log leaders Black Rhinos. Scotland have secured the services of former Dynamos twins Kelvin Moyo. They are also believed to have secured the services of King Nadolo from their sisters club.
