ZESA Wins Top Energy Award at Zimbabwe Agricultural Show

ZESA Holdings has been recognized as the best overall energy company at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) 2024 awards, a notable achievement given the ongoing 24-hour load shedding challenges.

Despite these difficulties, ZESA’s commitment to supporting national growth has been acknowledged. The company celebrated the accolade on Twitter, stating, “We are honored to be named the best overall winner in the Energy sector at the ZAS 2024 awards. This recognition highlights our dedication to driving Zimbabwe’s development.”

In addition to this honor, ZESA has formed a partnership with India’s Jindal Steel and Power to boost electricity generation in Zimbabwe.

Earlier this week, ZESA explained that the recent increase in power outages, which have lasted over 12 hours in some areas since last Thursday, is due to a technical fault at Hwange Thermal Power Station’s Unit 8. Zimbabwe Agricultural Show
