Police Raid Unsanctioned Vuzu Party in Bulawayo, Apprehend High School Pupils

Police in Bulawayo are currently probing an incident involving six students from different high schools who were discovered participating in unruly activities at a Vuzu party in the affluent Malindela suburb of Bulawayo.

According to reports, five of the students are from Milton High School, three from Evelyn High School, and one is a school leaver.

Acting on a tip from concerned residents, the police arrested them at a residence on Browning Road, Malindela.

The students, aged between 14 and 17, were found smoking Shisha and Chelsea Cigarettes, playing soft music, and claimed to be celebrating a friend’s birthday.

The students, released to the custody of their senior teachers, had allegedly hosted similar parties before.

The police commend the public for providing crucial information and stress the need for parents to engage in ongoing discussions with their children about the dangers of drugs and Vuzu parties, citing them as significant threats to well-being.

In September of last year, authorities in Bulawayo probed an incident involving 14 students from various schools who were discovered participating in unruly behavior at a Vuzu party in the Pumula South suburb.
